I am so happy with the work that Flat Rate Remodeling did for my bathroom remodel. I was overwhelmed by the other estimates I was getting from other companies and it seemed like they always wanted to charge a lot more than the job actually should have cost. I had a few projects that I needed done around the house, and Flat Rate Remodeling was able to accommodate me by doing multiple services. They were able to repair my ceiling, clean and seal the shower tile, paint a room for me, remove popcorn ceilings and repaint that room as well.
Professional, responsive, and diligent. Working with Flat Rate was such a great experience. My wife and I are new homeowners and we have seen our fair share of contractors who just want to take your money, do as little as possible, and make a big profit. And as to customer service, those other companies leave a lot to be desired. We felt the opposite with Flat rate. Their quote was not the lowest but very competitive, and they stood out with their great customer service and responsiveness. They did an excellent job in our living room, handled everything including plans and getting permits, and completed the project on time. Their workers were very pleasant and responsible. There was an extra step that was not part of the initial estimate, and they took care of it without additional charges--did not nickel and dime us. Extremely happy with them. Money well spent. Without a doubt, I would recommend them.
We are a Residential Drug and Alcohol Recovery House and I cannot say enough about the amazing work done by the Flat Rate team. They have been respectful, timely with wonderful communication of everything that is happening through remodel/ renovations. We started with four bathrooms and will continue to work with them through all rooms and phases of the huge home in Hollywood Hills!
This was my first time doing a remodel of any sort, and was very nervous to trust someone in my home. So I went with my gut and the good feeling I had in meeting Avi, and I couldn't be happier. We did my entire bathroom- shower and vanity area, and replaced all the flooring throughout my condo. Although it took longer than we planned (mostly because of me!), it all turned out fantastic and was so worth it. Avi has a gift for being positive through the hard parts that naturally will happen with remodeling. He calmed my nerves and reassured me many times. In designing my new bathroom, Avi ultimately let me choose what I wanted, but he always offered his expert insight and ideas. Miguel, Ever, Alex, Carlos and the team are not only kind and respectful, they are very knowledgeable and do great work. It's hard to do work in a building with neighbors working from home and keep noise down, but they respected our HOA rules in figuring our how to get work done, and did a good job at cleaning up at the end of the day. I greatly appreciate this! Tal is an amazing office manager, and keeps everything on track. She and Avi are responsive and timely in communication, and have been very patient with me and my work schedule, timing of payments, pulling permits for me- always figuring out a way to keep things moving. My small condo is obviously not a large family home, so I appreciate the consideration for my project to be taken just as seriously as a large home would require. I will definitely be calling on them for anything I do in the future!
We just wanted to take a moment to thank you and Tal for everything you’re doing to keep the project moving smoothly. While we understand this is your work and scope of responsibility, it’s clear that what you provide goes beyond the contractual side, your willingness to listen, support us when something isn’t to our liking, and genuinely care about the outcome means a great deal to me and Bahman. I also want to acknowledge something on my end. I know I am very detailed oriented and strive for perfection (like yourself), which sometimes makes the process more demanding. At the same time, I hope you also see that I deeply care about the quality of work, and I appreciate and reward excellent work. What I don’t have tolerance for is sub-standard work, but when something is done well, I am the first to recognize it and express my appreciation.
We had a complete Bathroom blow out and remodeling done by Flat Rate Remodeling, including new bath, new standalone shower, porcelain flooring and wall tile. Suffice to say that we are absolutely ecstatic with the entire project from beginning to end, and the result is amazing. After interviewing and receiving bids from 6 contractors, (as well as a company who had done a very nice remodel for us previously); we decided on Flat Rate. We are extremely pleased with that decision. We knew immediately upon meeting our Project Manager, Avi Amar, that his vision and ideas were beyond anything else that had been suggested by other companies. The knowledge that Avi had regarding materials, along with the samples that he was able to show us and pictures/prior recommendations, clearly demonstrated that in Avi we were dealing with a true professional. We also clicked with Avi right away as he seemed to be a very caring and genuine individual, vs. many of the other contractors who we met. Unfortunately; I had to make a very difficult call to Avi and tell him that we decided to go a different direction, after we compared all the quotes; he was too high. We agreed to meet with Avi to show him all of our other quotes. He correctly pointed out all of the differences in materials, configurations, and worked with us to scale a quote that was within our price range, and was actually better than the other quotes once we compared apples to apples. The most important thing was that Flat Rate guaranteed that price. (With our previous remodel experience, we were getting new estimates and changing orders daily). Flat Rate and Avi were true to their word. In fact the job did end up requiring additional work that was not projected initially; but Avi and Flat Line stayed true to their promise. We did not pay one penny more than the original quote, and we got more than we could have expected. Flat Rate brought in the absolute best Subs I have ever worked with in 15 years of having work done on this house. These workers were skilled masters and artist tradesmen who were all extremely competent, friendly, and respectful of our home. The Bathroom that Flat Rate remodeled is now the most beautiful space in our home. Two months later, I still come home after work and just go to that bathroom to gaze at how beautiful it came together. I was extremely distrustful of the contractors who we had gotten bids from, and although i initially liked Avi, I was still apprehensive... until the work began, and we saw the quality of the people and workmanship being provided by Flat Rate. We now consider Avi a friend, and i would recommend Flat Rate enthusiastically! In fact I have recommended Flat Rate to neighbors and friends. These folks are an absolute joy to work with, and Tal keeps everything scheduled and moving from the office.
